This is not the new novel announcement I’ve been teasing, but it’s pretty cool all the same.
Once or twice, I may have mentioned that I use myanimelist to keep straight the list of shows I’ve seen, and I’ve referred to their community rankings as a moderately acceptable bellwether of general perception, knowing if something is popular relative to other works or (whether I agree or not) generally considered to be of a certain quality.
As a late entry, I happened to notice they were also sponsoring a writing contest. With the sudden emergence in my mind of an idea that fit the prompt, I decided to enter, and will thus be uploading a chapter to the work on Honeyfeed every day between now, and when the volume is done (which will likely be pretty close to the Jan 20 deadline). If anybody’s been looking to see me take a swing at heavily anime-inspired Urban Fantasy (without picking up Witch Hunters or its upcoming sequels on Amazon), now’s your chance.
